รูปลักษณะ : กฤษณา เป็นไม้ยืนต้น สูง 10-15 เมตร ลำต้นตรง เปลือกเรียบสีเทา เนื้อไม้อ่อนสีขาว ใบเดี่ยว เรียงสลับ รูปวงรีแกมขอบขนาน กว้างประมาณ 6 ซม.ยาว 12 ซม. ผิวเป็นมัน ดอกช่อ ออกเป็นช่อเล็กๆ ที่ซอกใบและปลายกิ่ง ดอกย่อยขนาดเล็ก กลีบดอกสีขาวแกมเขียว ผลแห้ง รูปวงรี เปลือกแข็ง มีขนสีเทา เมื่อแก่จะแตก กลีบเลี้ยงเจริญติดอยู่กับผล
